Space/Science » in reply to For as little as $35, someone could straighten Griffin out on the impact hazard

And mankind should be so lucky!

Face it. Impacts are WAY down the list of threats. One must prioritize and there are illnesses, for instance, out there which are much more realistic problems.

And secondly. Take yer basic medium-size impactor. Wipes out three-fourths of mankind.

Would solve a lot of problems. Folks could get back to basics, would have the resources to do so, could work on preserving the planet and it's various species from a starting point which had a chance of working. There could be worse things.

For $35 you can get a cup of coffee at Starbucks AND a croissant, and glory in a wonderful day. Buy yer grandkids an ice cream cone or 5, maybe a beach ball. Squirt gun. Kite. Cheap telescope with plastic lenses that they won't feel guilty about breaking.
