Old myth. Let it go.
The U.S. supplied Iraq with chemicals and things that could be eventually illegally converted or modified into weapons. Most of these were various pesticides.
If these items are to be defined as "chemical weapons," then one must include them as "chemical weapons" under all circumstances. By that definition, Iraq, chock full of such dual-use materials when we invaded, was full of WMD.
