You turn this into revenge, and the folks that gave you a victory last night will turn their backs on you in 2008. Haven’t you been paying attention? Don’t you see why the Republicans lost last night? It is because Americans want to see some progress. If you turn this into a vendetta against Bush, you will loose that support that gave you victory.

If all the Democrats accomplish the next two yours is constant investigations against Bush and fighting against Republicans, you’ll loose in 2008. But if you work to get something accomplished then you’ll do well in 2008.

And that is going to be the challenge for the House Democrats. To stay focused on the issues and not turn this into revenge against Bush.
