Space/Science » in reply to No, Chris, you understand the world in a very simple way.

re:Thanks Ed! I do model the world in a very simple and effective way and you could learn much from how I do it...

But, sadly I'm not giving lessons right now.

Eddie said: "What I said was that interest in manned Mars flight would drop with every image sent back from Mars, and I still hold that opinion."

And Chris says: I'm not going to argue the point with you, but that isn't exactly what you first said. Anyway, it is still clearly false as interest is neither increasing or decreasing which was my point. And JPL hits indicate steady and a consistent interest. Not a declining interest in manned mission to Mars by the public.

Right, calling your opponent a 12 year old is such a clear sign of maturity! Beside showing your poor math ability. When was the Vietnam war again? Try it ended April 30th 1975 and went on for more than 10 years? How old would you need to be to understand it's impact? Right now a 12 year old would have been born in 1994 well after the war ended. Try guessing my age again.

You like to make all things black and white. You claim Congress won't like ATK in the medium size launcher market. Congress is made up of about 635 different people. Some of which have motives to put ATK in the medium launcher market. Like I think Utah does have congressmen and those foolish voters? Do the astronaut core want to ride EELVs to orbit? No they don't. Who else might benefit from ATK having the CLV contract? Hint all those subcontractors all over the old USA.

You may have life experience but isn't in the launch market or in congress so were you come off saying "you know" they won't like something is beyond common sense.
