"Naming games to solve engineering problems?..."
Just what, pray tell, is this referring to? It makes much less sense than usual.
And I don't need to be lectured by you about Moon dust. Take a stroll through the Lunar Library:
http://www.outofthecradle.net/categories/lunar-library/
especially the
Selenology: http://www.outofthecradle.net/categories/lunar-library/selenology/
Moonbases: http://www.outofthecradle.net/categories/lunar-library/moonbases/
and
Apollo: http://www.outofthecradle.net/categories/lunar-library/apollo/
as well as the
Big Rocks from Space: http://www.outofthecradle.net/categories/lunar-library/big-rocks-from-space/big-rocks-from-space-fact/
sections.
Realize that all of the entries are from physical copies I have in my personal library, the Moon section of which is within 10' of my desk. The categories noted above represent over 200 references. The whole Library is over 900 catalogued references, and I've got more that I haven't gotten around to adding yet.
Realize also that I have actually read through the bulk of those references, and routinely consult them regarding questions that come up or things I want to write on the web. To suggest that I am ignorant of the dust issue is appallingly ignorant of the reality.
CV: "I suggest instead of labeling things bogeyman BS you go about helping solve problems. Denying it exists or making out it is a minor problem is not helping."
Hey, at least when I deal with problems I suggest solutions. I count ten possibilities in the post you responded to. I humbly suggest you get off your Lunar dust-y high horse and suggest a few yourself before you go throwing around strident posts implying that dust dooms all Lunar efforts and that those who try to be reasonable about it are "bury[ing] their heads in these lunar sands."

Please clarify...
The whole thread (40 posts)
- OK! TIt's timne to end this cosmic bogeyman BS about the hazards of lunar dust.
- Agreed! It's time to end this cosmic bogeyman BS about the hazards of lunar dust.
- re: Not sure where you are coming from. Dust on the Moon is an engineering problem yet to be solved.
- This issue was discussed in the Physics Today article.
- re: Are you trying to claim micrometeorites and cosmic rays do not hit the surface of the Moon?
- OK, you have a point there
