What is this "retirement" of which you speak?
I don't do anything for a living I couldn't do if I were 80, assuming I don't go blind or something.
Frankly, I think this is true of a lot of people nowadays. Years ago, when a lot of work was manual labor, retirement was not optional, and having an income for your old age totally separate from your earnings was critical. This is still true for many, I'm sure, but I suspect most people see retirement as a well-earned paid vacation from their jobs.
