As I tried to make clear earlier no one should post any info that would or even might compromise their financial status. However I don't think discussing an account balance or how much was made from a certain investment would in any way compromise anyone's accounts. I hope anyone who knows otherwise will correct me if I'm wrong. However, I feel most people would feel uncomfortable discussing such details with using their normal or real identity. If everyone feels that discussing such details is in bad taste or undesirable regardless of the level of pseudoprivacy then yes this really is a stupid thread.
For instance I know of this character we'll call Papa Bear who I think is retired yet has a relatively young child I believe by choice. That's a big financial risk to most people and many might be interested in any financial calculations behind that decision yet I doubt papa bear would feel free to discuss that using his real name.
