"Some people just find it unnatural, not fascinating. "
Your right to find it unnatural is completely preserved. However, legislating from your opinion that it is unnatural is against the spirit of what this country is all about. Gay people who commit to life-long consensual arrangements are not harming anyone, and I mean Anyone- by any stretch of the immagination, in any fashion. That some people would insist on blocking people from mutually consensual arrangements based on their own bias is completely without justification and boils down to bigotry.
If you find homosexuality unnatural (despite the many examples of it found in nature and human history), simply don't participate in homosexual acts. If someone mindlessly hates homosexuals because of some odd developmental maladjustment, then they shouldn't interact with homosexuals. But your moral preferences about demonstably consensual and harmless arrangements, at best, end at your doorstep and extend maybe only to minors in your care. Outside that, show some respect for your fellow humans and let them do as they please. Just as they are perfectly content to let you sit around and opine about the 'unnaturalness' of their personal lives.
Why sexual preference should be about as interesting and as notable or as offensive as eye color is a big damn mystery to me.
