Hey all:

A family member of mine is looking for a printer. She is really into printing photos, and also this odd thing about printing pictures on fabric, to later incorporate into quilts and such (think escher prints copied to fabric and then quilted together). This technique is out there, and lots of people do it... I don't know the details of how it works (like if you stick the fabric to paper, or just feed it in in lieu of paper... etc) As far as I can tell, the requirements for it seem to match up with a general-use printer that is very good for high-quality picture printing.

So, do any of you zoners use printers for printing pictures? What sort of attributes/specs should such a printer have? Whats the run-down on the brands? I know nothing about printers, so the more info you provide, the better.
