re: Help with printers
I use an inexpensive ($100) HP Photosmart printer for printing photos with excellent results - very hard to tell from professional photolab pictures even with 8x10.
However, it sounds like your family member might need something like this, which uses special paper that goes in most any inkjet printer, then can be transferred onto fabric using an iron.
They also list a method of printing directly onto fabric.
