Republicans did not invent the deliberate news leak, It was probably the Romans. But your comments are a little rough on the current administration; if the NYT is a whore, that makes the White House a pimp.

As I mentioned before, the reason I feel this leak is deliberate and originates with the administration is because it reveals nothing which is not already common knowledge, and because it contains nothing embarassing to the White House.
