I never said we should stop looking. I just think we shouldn't be disappointed if we don't have immediate success. After less than a half-century of SETI, people who should know better are already saying we should quit trying. I think they're out there, but I'm convinced it will take centuries to prove it. But nothing would make me happier than if I learned tomorrow I was dead wrong.
