re: What code DOESN'T do in real life (that it does in the movies)

Whenever CSI (or just about any other show) starts (insert - whoever I happen to be with that knows me well) either makes me leave the room or promise not to make fun of the show.

I have acquired a reputation for revealing plotlines and critiquing science/technology on TV and Movies.

Justifiably I might add, as a Science fan and a (wannabe) Science Fiction writer I can figure out the plotline of damn near anything on TV. I won’t even go into movies.......the last movie to surprise me was Sixth Sense.

And I have little tolerance for most of it.

Sadly I also have a habit of not keeping it to myself.

I have a real problem with dumbass writers/producers who can’t be bothered to do a simple Google search on whatever gee-whiz gadget they’ve dreamed up.
