To do what?

If electric cars become practical, what else are you going to use the hydrogen for (other, than as I said, some niche uses)? Fuel cell tech, or hydrogen storage tech, may make fuel cells competitive with batteries, but when you subtract the losses from conversion from and to electricity both ways, what do you get?

Plug your car into your house's solar panel, and go with it.
