A side note on thoughts after learning that Roger took his own life...
Oddly enough, if Roger had surrendered, he would soon have had numerous female fans pledging their love and promising to jump his bones at the first opportunity. If he dodged the death penalty, he might eventually had conjugal privileges.
Maybe the attention would have cured him :)
