The story claimed that the National Park Service was not allowed to say anything about the real age of the Park.
This was a flat lie.
It was proved on this thread to be a flat lie.
A single book on creationism in the bookstore is as Constitutionally irrelevant as a book on Indian legends in a bookstore at Devil's Tower telling how it had been formed by a giant bear clawing at it.
It is accompanied by dozens of books telling about the true history of the Canyon.
The bookstore is run by a private, non-profit organization that is supported by sales and private donations, absorbs no tax money, and in fact, pumps cash out into the park.
The obsession on this subject from some activist groups is approaching psychosis.
