Right now, the passport business has been lifted off my shoulders (more agents) but the boss is trying to make me the queen of programming for adults too. So it's about the same, but the quality is different.
Big Ideas? I'd still like all of youse guys to get into the science & tech book review business. The Dawkins discussions have taken us to that other topic that we aren't supposed to discuss at cocktail parties. Is history just politics in the past tense? Shall we have a feature, like, "Something Cool From My Neck Of The Woods"? The "My Personal Top Ten" lists were a lot of fun, but other discussions of the arts, especially contemporary art, tend to start with "Look at this example of how degenerate we all are" and deteriorate from there. (Yet, are not the arts supposed to provoke people? The ones that reinforce the status quo remind me most of the official art of the USSR.)
Humor? Well, I was listening to The Capitol Steps the other night and... oh, yeah, that's politics...
I've been playing lullabies based on tunes by The Cure, Metallica and Radiohead in the preschool area lately, from a new CD series called "Rockabye Baby!" People who don't know contemporary music think they're pretty, and they are. (No lyrics, obviously.) People who recognize the tunes get this funny look on their faces, turn their heads sideways, and smile.
