You found the phrase "people that think for themselves" a direct dig at you? Even if she was thinking that and she probably is, I fail to understand how someone secure in themselves can find that as a personal attack unless they're lying in wait looking for it. You must have awfully thin skin to be so threatened by someone you seem to have little or no respect for.

Obviously, there's some chicken and egg dynamics going on here but I could care less who started it. Someone has to be adult enough to not take the bait and that could easily fall into your lap if you cared about preserving Lindy as a member here. That doesn't seem to be the case. Her juggular is where you're aiming and it's just bad form.

If you care about a topic she raises, why not count to 10 and wait until someone else responds and respond to them instead or start your own topic about something counter to her position. Debate is fine. Lying in wait for an opportunity to wound someone's credibility is not a good character trait.
