We've heard from two already, and FrankC is old enough, too... and so am I. I was about month shy of my 6th birthday, and had already been bitten by the astronomy bug. Like Tom, the first satellite I remember being able to see is Echo I, but I certainly remember the headlines about Sputnik I.
