BTW, I noticed how completely you ignored the alternative.
If Saddam were still in power, all the oil cash would be flowing to him and his goons to use for exactly what Saddam used them for before: weapons, invasions, bribes, and paying off terrorists.
If you think that's a preferable alternative to (God forbid!) a private company making 20 percent, say so.
