There are good guys and bad guys on both sides of the aisle on issues pertaining directly to political power like this one. On pork and transparency. Trent Lott, as one example, has been quite obstructive on "porkbusting" issues.

Again, one main key seems to be how long someone has been in power. Democratic "freshmen" seem to be more reasonable than the old veterans. So were the 1994 Republicans. At first.
