There are a number of ways to stop spin at such high altitudes.

Retrorockets, tandem drogue chutes and large inflatable wings come to mind.

If serious attempts are made they should look at the physics from ground to ground again.

I wonder what kind of pressure suit this guy Raoul posted about is using?
