The original post pointed out the editor of a national magazine and another journalist declaring "thousands of amputees," which only generously can be interpreted as as few as 2000 (believe me, it doesn't take much time on the internet to find other such references).
A few short posts later, we are talking about the government lying about its numbers.
For the record, the "War on Terror" encompasses Afghanistan, Iraq, and anywhere military action is taking place.
The military, as seen in their casualty table, splits it into Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF), which includes many areas around Iraq, and Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). The latter includes operations not only in Afghanistan, but anywhere else the military is performing anti-terror functions, such as Africa. The table is specific on the locations, and it's a good reference.
Current Events » in reply to Governments lie, Tom. They misrepresent and equivocate.
Amazing reversal.
