I did not say anything resembling "If you honestly think the Republicans would rather run against Hillary than Obama, well, I can't really help you out there." The whole point of a "two-for-one" smear is that it's intended to damage both Clinton and Obama. I don't see any resemblance to the 1972 dirty tricks campaign against McGovern to set up a weak opponent for Nixon.
I'm sure you just took that position for effect; to think otherwise would be to underestimate your intelligence.
