Some clarification

This is related to the thread below, where I speculated that a nasty smear e-mail circulating around about Obama might be someone working for or sympathetic with Hillary or some other Democratic presidential hopeful, trying to winnow down the competition. I got my head handed to me for even suggesting such a ridiculous thing.
