It isn't going to cost $2 trillion.

Costs through 2006 have been (very approximately) $300 billion. Add $170 billion for 2007, and $145 billion for 2008. So by the time the next president takes office, the tally will be around $615 billion. If you assume for the sake of argument $170 billion a year after that into perpetuity, it will take at least another eight years to hit $2 trillion.

How about that assumption for the sake of argument? If Hillary wins, she has already promised unconditional surrender in a recent speech, so one assumes the costs will drop drastically. Same for most other Democrats. As far as Republicans go, do you see anyone even on that side who might win the presidency who will continue to drop $170 billion a year on this?

$2 trillion. It's Crap.

Remember, you can't do math with your spleen.
