WASHINGTON — "Less than five years ago, the Bush administration estimated the cost of fighting a war in Iraq at $50 billion to $60 billion. Today, the global war on terrorism — mostly for Iraq — has cost 10 times that amount."
"The true cost could be as much as $2 trillion when all economic factors are weighed, according to Linda Bilmes of Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government. "Even if we walked out tomorrow, we would still be paying for years and years and years," Bilmes says."
Y'see, rehabiliting a person with a leg blown off, disability benefits, worn out equipment, all that sort of thing which has increased as the direct result of this war costs money. Really. And it can legitimately be charged off to the war.
Elementary.
You're welcome. It was nothing, really.
Arf (Not nice. Yer condescending, Bow. I was very, very polite. Ya gotta keep it simple for 'em.)
