And another thought. Don't know if you have any pets, but I have a dog that travels with me. He has two tags on all of his gear, collar, pack and harness. And the same will be true when I get another cat.
One is the standard. His and my name, address and phone number, which is a cell number so as to be good if we're travelling.
The other is one with the name of his veterinarian and phone number for him with instructions to call if the dog is injuried and/or I'm not available. He also has a microchip in case the collar is lost.
The theory is that I might be unavilable to give directions for care of the guy. Since I live alone, my phone number isn't going to be any good if I'm history, or whatever. The vet is a good friend, and will handle matters whether the dog is hurt or not. He knows if he gets a call it's because something has happened to me.
I think it's a good idea to have another person to contact in case of a disaster and the local phones are out. Animals can get frightened and split, and it can take a long time for phone service to be restored in some areas.
Just a thought. I've found the more bases I can cover the easier it is to handle the bases I haven't.

Sounds super to me. A thought on pets.
