I don't think anyone is arguing making rockets is simple or doesn't take care and understanding.
Bell was arguing that the New Space or Alt-Space COTS crews were amateurs. This is simple wrong. Might I point out NASA is calling back people who retired years ago because few currently there have the experience need to make the CEV, etc...
The last time they designed a man rated launcher was the mid-1970s!
And that system has twice failed with 14 lives lost! Let us cut the New Space crews some slack.
As I said Bell is the amateur here not them.
