Mother Jones discovers there is more shooting during a war than before it.
Once you shave off the Iraq and Afghanistan attacks, the rest is pretty flat.
Notice also that the complete lack of attacks on the U.S. and its interests overseas is glossed over by combining it into "Western" allies.
If we had never gotten near Iraq, Mother Jones would be writing this same article with "Afghanistan" in all the places "Iraq" is now.
