Current Events » in reply to Mother Jones discovers there is more shooting during a war than before it.

Tom discovers the content of a Mother Jones piece and repeats it back as if adding something new.

To wit:

"But the most direct test of The Iraq Effect--whether the United States and its allies have suffered more jihadist terrorism after the invasion than before--shows that the rate of jihadist attacks on Western interests and citizens around the world (outside of Afghanistan and Iraq) has risen by a quarter, from 7.2 to 9 a year, while the yearly fatality rate in these attacks has increased by 4 percent from 191 to 198."

And I don't think it is kosher to disregard the Afganistan and Iraq numbers. Neither do you when you are foisting the flypaper analogy.

Fact is, terrorism is way up, is increasing, and honest folks don't see it coming down any time soon. Bush's war on terrorism is a failure. In a decent number of years, you will likely agree (though you will continue to blame the liberals for it).
