This is really just an attempt at a 'Do Over' for those who got suckered in by the original authorization to use force.
For the reasons I have listed here, I think we should re-enact the draft and put half a million americans in Iraq. The goal should simply be to prevent the impending genocide and possible regional shooting war that could result. I have zero hope that the current afdministration could even achieve this aim with infinite resources- they simply live in a world quite removed from reality.
I was against this war, predicted its decay into our very own West Bank scenario and I never bought for a second that Iraq was a threat under Saddam. However: without abandoning my principles and my best educated guesses for what will likely happen as an outcome, I can't advocate or support a withdrawl or disengagement.
I can't imagine a worse place our nation could be in.
