No one voted FOR war. They authorized Bush to use force if necessary. They trusted the newly elected President of the United States to be an honest, honorable man who was sane enough to use force only in the face of a clear and present danger.
Since then we find that Bush is possibly the least honest and honorable politician ever on a national scale, and certainly the least honest President the US has ever had. We find that he wanted war before diplomacy, inspections, he wanted war even if there was no danger at all.
The US and it's representatives were fooled.
It is no crime to have trusted someone at one time. It would be a crime to still trust him in the face of all the evidence that he is a warmonger with no interest in anything except military domination of countries with access to oil.
Conservatives are trying to tarnish good people because they once trusted Bush. They should have trusted him once. And none of them pushed Bush into his megalomania.
