I realized that they do make those after posting the comment.
One site I went to said the LED bulbs have a lifetime that is measured in 100,000's of hours and even 1 Million+ hours as opposed to flourecents which last only 10,000 hours on average.
The LED lights also use about 1/3 or less of the energy that a flourecent uses!
Won't it be funny if this whole flourecent's are the "in thing" is a conspriacy hatched by the marketing department at GE to keep us from the real lighting systems of the future!!!
Sometimes you just got to laugh at the conspiracy theories that are out there lurking around every successful business venture.
