If you're in favor of banning them altogether, then you are NOT a 2nd Amendment Liberal.
The 2nd Amendment is every bit as important to the Constitution as the 1st or 5th Amendments. If private gun ownership isn't what the Founding Fathers had in mind, then they would've made gun ownership illegal. The fact that they didn't, and owned firearms themselves, speaks volumes on their intent.
