Are nukes rated by gross or net power output. I.e., does " 6 GW" refer to the total heat energy produced by the reactors, or the electrical energy that makes it to the grid? Also, am I correct that about 30% of the energy released as heat (whether it be fission or combustion) actually winds up as useable electric power, due to Carnot heat engine inefficiencies etc.
