You see, people like Art and I have kids that would be drafted right now and sent to that hell hole for the likes of GWB and his religious insanity.
There is no draft. There won't be a draft. The Pentagon and the current administration are totally against a draft, and the only people who have proposed a draft are left-wing politicians who want to use it as an anti-military weapon the same way they did in Vietnam.
For all the effort to paint our current military as dupes, pathetic victims, uneducated idiots, or mindless killing machines, the truth is that they are mostly dedicated and intelligent young people who made their own decisions.
At this point in the war, a large number of them are people who have reenlisted knowing full well what they're doing.
