IP address geolocation

It's possible to look up IP addresses and get a location with about 90% accuracy. It's something I don't do without a good reason, like investigating suspicious activity, and so I had no call to potentially invade your privacy like that. You gave the time in PDT, which I realize extends inland for quite some distance, and I guess I leapt to a false conclusion about your longitude. Possibly I was mixing in the recent posts about launches from Vandenberg, in the vein of watching the skies for interesting phenomena. What I was trying to ascertain was your latitude and thus how far north or south the fireball you saw might've been visible.
