Professionals in the field have an obligation to act appropriately in the presence of a crime. The mere presence of a person illegally in this country is a crime. The authorities who did not deport the fellow when they had him, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER HE HAD COMMITTED A CRIME OR NOT, are guilty of misfeasance and should be held responsible for his future behavior in this country. And If he had committed a crime and was still here it would be malfeasance and punitive damages should be allowed.

If I know of a burglar, batterer, bank robber who is running around loose I have an obligation to report that to the proper authority. If I don't I could be considered an accessory. That should be prosecuted, also. It should be that anyone with knowledge of an illegal alien who does not report it are guilty of a crime.

Only then will be be free of this problem. Make it too expensive to tolerate.

And long before this Geraldo Rivera forfeited any right to be considered a human being.
