You are comparing our operations in Iraq with the invasions of Russia by France and Germany. For the life of me, I can't see any common ground. In four years in Iraq we've lost just over 3,000 troops. Iraq isn't even a minor skirmish compared to Barbarossa or even Napoleon's invasion. Iraq has more in common with Germany's invasion of Denmark and Norway, and that's a bit of a stretch.
