Switching out of al Qaeda, etc., to Islamic State turns this into a religious war. The US is fighting, trying to stomp out, Islam. The religious right has co-opted the nation into another Crusade.

I don't believe that's true, and I think if I were an Arab I would have a hard time not believing it.
