I know who Petraeus is and what he's done prior to this.

I also know that Democratic leaders have skipped his briefings, and people like Harry Reid, who has shown he knows jack shit about this war, has declared that Petraeus is a liar. Based on what?

What sources are you drawing on for your knowledge of events? Or Reid? Line them up in front of you, and ask yourself if there might not be an "element of politics" in those places, too.
