Democrats were swept into office because of public disaffection for Mr. Bush and his misbegotten war in Iraq. I doubt that campaign rhetoric about lobbying reform had anything to do with it.
As usual, you are tilting at windmills while real dragons threaten elsewhere. Meanwhile, 3,394 American soldiers have been killed in Iraq in pursuit of weapons of mass destruction that did not actually exist. Perhaps you can ask them how they feel about lobbying reform.
