re: Return of the old VW Beetle to replace the New one?
.Wow! So Cool!
First I've heard of it.
I've driven many VW's over the years, beetles, (A nice orange 69 convertible) squarebacks, and fastbacks, (fuel injection really sucked on those) micro buses, (Front end collision death trap, but I loved'em) and a 1977 Westphalia Campmobile, nicknamed “Lurch” due to all the weird acceleration dynamics between the time you released the clutch,...and the wheels started rolling.
My favorites were two Karmann Ghia's. A '63 and '67.
Interesting how they describe the engine “above” the transaxle, as opposed to in front, or behind.
