Contra Costa County, 20 minutes from San Francisco by car, 1 hour 15 minutes by my boat. ;-) This map doen't show the waterway between CC County and Solano County which is where the Saramento River flows to and where I would travel from.

And about 30 minutes from u-pick farms at the gateway to the farm rich Sacramento Valley.

I miss having acreage with fruit trees, grape vines and large vegetable garden. A lot of work (don’t miss dealing with peach curl) but worth the trouble.

Sweet corn harvest next month in my neck of the woods with a Corn Festival to start it off. You’d swear they boil it in sugar water. Yum!
