What a terrible cost in life for those young men and women willing to do the bidding of a madman.
I wonder how many there now would admit privately they'd have never signed up had they known what the truth is. I talked to a young man the other night that had not only served a tour of duty but also went back as a civilian contractor and he told us of the futility of it all and the horrific risks he faced. He also told of the huge sum of money that lured him into doing something he never should have done. He said it was obscene.
