The girls & I are going to Otakon in July. That's a lot of fun, but it's not restful.
Band Camp is at the beginning of August. I have a private storytelling gig the weekend after that.
And near the end of August, after all the programming is over and the incentive sheets have been turned in (but not before the State Report on Summer Reading is completed), I will quietly disappear for a week to a small, very peaceful house in a mountain community south of here, all by myself, with a selection of music, movies, and books, my laptop, and no cable TV. I hope they catch the bear before then; I like to go for a walk in the evening.
Then school begins and we start all over again.
