After the raid on Jefferson's office 2 years ago, Pelosi pushed Jefferson OUT of his seat on the tax-writing House Ways and Means Committee. (A VERY powerful committee)

In February, Pelosi placed Jefferson on the Homeland Security Committee. This was a move that in my view deserves criticism but it had some justification. The Homeland Security Committee has jurisdiction over matters related to Hurricane Katrina, which devastated Jefferson's district. He was under investigation at the time but not officially indicted and it was HIS district AND he had just been re-elected.

Now that there is an actual indictment for corruption, and apparently substantial evidence to prove it, this crook should gone quickly. If not, you will legitimately have something to bitch about. Since the indictment came down a matter of hours ago I think you are jumping the gun just a little bit here. Let's see how it plays out over the next few days.

Once in a great while Tom you actually have a fair assessment of a political issue (this is not one of them). Most of the time it is nothing but spin.
