That something so dramatic is barely known outside of a documentary
on a channel that has become as watered down for the masses as TLC
and several other "educational" channels have become over the years.

What other evidence is there for this? Please do not tell me it was all
covered up, etc.

As for a comfort zone, it would be more comforting and easy on my
neurons to buy into all the supernatural stuff I have been inundated
with all of my life. Instead, I chose to think about what I am told and
not buy into it without some background knowledge first.

It is also a bit hard to take seriously some of the comments here when
several posters made it clear that they have never heard of the Green
Flash before, which even the most amateur astronomer knows about. And
yet they will be the same people who can suddenly discuss extra dimensions,
chemistry, and physics with alleged ease.

I have no illusion that I will convince you of anything, but don't ever say
I am hiding in some comfort zone. It is tiring to be rational and stepping
outside the mainstream flock all the time. But if I cave in, then that is
one more victory for the new Dark Ages.
