I met a few people DEVOTED to texas independence - They were ALL morons, of course.

I lived in hawaii and there too there was a strong movement for independence- perhaps FAR stronger than Texas- but they all were idiots... If Hawaii lost all federal funds, it would die- hawaii is a nice place, but it depends on the kindness of strangers- I will be the first to admit that the native Hawaiians were mistreated, but I have known enough native hawaiians to say they dont want a return to the 18th century...
